The Greatest Good Lecture Series

November 14, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us for a free monthly lecture series beginning on November 14th. Each month, we will host a different local specialist for a presentation and Q&A at Dudley’s Bookshop Café. The topics vary greatly, and we hope anyone who is interested will join.
Presentations will begin at 5:30pm, and will run for about 40 minutes with 20 minutes open for questions following. We feel very fortunate to have incredibly knowledgeable speakers and exciting topics! The lineup is as follows:

– November 14th: “Fire and Ice: Intro Geology of Mt. Bachelor and Three Sisters Volcanos” By Barton Wills – Forest Geologist Deschutes National Forest

– December 12th: “Forest Insects: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” By Robbie Flowers – Central Oregon Forest Entomologist

– January 23rd: “The Evolution of Fire Use” By Katharine Hetts – Sub-Regional Fire Analyst

– February 27th: “Wilderness Solitude Monitoring” By Jason Fisher – Wilderness Specialist Deschutes National Forest
