Redmond’s Early Learning Center (RELC) will host a kindergarten registration event on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, for all incoming in-town kindergartners.
“Our kindergarten registration event is an excellent opportunity for parents of incoming kindergartners to learn more about our fantastic early learning facility and the many resources available to them,” Principal Desiree Margo said. “We look forward to this fun and informational event and highly recommend that parents attend if possible.”
Since 2016, all in-town Redmond kindergartners have attended kindergarten at the Early Learning Center on the Hugh Hartman campus. Community schools, Terrebonne and Tumalo provide kindergarten in their respective buildings.
Parents and their children will receive a tour of the facility and information about early learning supports, before and after school programs and onsite pre-kindergarten options, Margo explained.
Community partners Family Access Network, Mosaic Medical, Champions Before and After School Programs, REACH Before and After School Programs, Deschutes County Public Library (DCPL) and the school district’s Transportation and Nutrition Services will be present to provide information and resources to parents of incoming kindergartners.
The event is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the large gym of the RELC at 2105 W Antler Ave Redmond. Interpreters will be available.
Parents are asked to bring the following documents in order to register their child for kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year:
- Birth certificate
- Immunization
- Proof of Address (piece of mail with parents name and current address)
Incoming kindergartners must be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2018.
