The 2020 NeighborImpact Empty Bowls will be like no other in the 19-year history of
the event in Central Oregon. Instead of an in-person event where neighbors gather to
enjoy a meal and listen to music, families will come together in their own homes to enjoy
a home cooked meal with ingredients provided by students from the Cascade Culinary
Institute at Central Oregon Community College and all the trimmings provided by local
restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries.
For the price of an Empty Bowls ticket, each participant will receive a gift package
including a handmade bowl created by local potters, dry soup mix created by students
from the Cascade Culinary Institute , a gift certificate for a loaf of bread from The Village
Baker , a coffee/tea gift card from Strictly Organic Coffee Company , a cookie from Bleu
Bite Catering or a cupcake card from Too Sweet Cakes , and gift certificates for a bowl of
soup, chili or appetizer from a variety of restaurant partners. Each basket will be
assembled, wrapped and delivered to each home by our wonderful volunteers from First
Interstate Bank .
