There’s a chill in the air and frost on the rooftops—it’s beginning to feel a lot like winter! Come in out of the cold and join us as we celebrate the holiday season with a little bit of cheer. Live music performances include a cappella caroling, the Sisters Jazz Choir, fun ukulele serenades, the Bend Senior High Choir and more. All programs are free and open to the public; registration required for programs marked with an asterisk(*).
Sisters High School Jazz Choir Serenade
The Sisters Jazz Choir is an elite choir of 16 high school students who have earned their spots by demonstrating leadership in the district choral program and by successfully completing a difficult vocal audition. They are directed by Rick Johnson with the assistance of piano player Julie Cash.

Different Notes Sings Holiday Songs
Listen in as Different Notes a cappella group sings a selection of holiday music. Different Notes is a group of five friends singing four-part a cappella harmony.

Holiday Ukulele Performance
Enjoy the fun harmonies of ukulele with songs performed by the High Country Ukulele Players and the Bend Ukulele Group. Take in the day’s events at La Pine Winterfest, or just come to sit and enjoy traditional ukulele songs, holiday carols, and fun classics.

Holiday Card Making*
Make cheerful holiday cards with Bend Art Center and learn the process of lino-cut carvings. Each person will carve their own images, hand print them on relief paper and attach them to a nice pre-folded blank greeting card. Each participant will get six cards to produce. Feel free to bring your own images, or use simple images provided, such as holly leaves or candy cane. On-site instructors will be available to help participants transfer and carve individual designs. Space is limited and registration is required.

Sisters Bell Choir & Renaissance Sisters Consort
Ring in the season with the Sisters hand bell choir and recorder music. Sisters High Desert Bell Choir was founded in 2008 and has been active in every Sisters High Desert Chorale concert since.

Bend Senior High Dynamics
The Dynamics are an auditioned ensemble from Bend High School. Although primarily a vocal jazz group, they also perform chamber music and contemporary a cappella. Recently they took second overall out of more than 40 groups at the Reno Jazz Festival. Specific to a cappella, they perform annually with University of Oregon’s On the Rocks and Divisi, and have even been featured on Ben Folds Facebook page.
