Family Resource Center presents, I Wish My Parents Knew…A Parenting Summit, in partnership with United Way, TRACEs, Oregon State University, and Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative.  This exciting opportunity is supported by St. Charles Health System, Avion Water Company, Lonza, Central Oregon Suicide Prevention Alliance, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon, and Brandsteam.

I Wish My Parents Knew…A Parenting Summit, will be held on October 12, 2018 at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon from 6-8:30pm.  Shauna Tominey, Ph.D. will emcee the evening as we hear from local youth talk about some of the challenges they face.  Keynote Dr. Dan Siegel M.D., Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA and bestselling author, will share his knowledge on parents’ interactions with adolescents and how attachment influences child development, emotions, and behavior.   Parents, caregivers, and professionals who attend will receive information and tools to build on existing relationships and further strengthen resilience in their children.
