Join us for the opening day of the exhibition Cosmic Microscapes: Seeing into Rocks from Oregon and Space.
This exhibition blends art and science to reveal the breathtaking beauty of meteorites—rocks from space! University of Washington geochemist and meteoricist Dr. Tony Irving and photographer Neil Buckland combined forces to create extreme macroscopic, panoramic photographs of meteorite slices just 30 microns thick. The mesmerizing result is large-scale, iridescent abstracts that resemble unearthly landscapes you can get lost in.
