Name of Event: Central Oregon Community Resource Fair
The Redmond Proficiency Academy will host a Community Resource Fair on
Thursday, March 5th, 2015. The fair is open to the public and will feature free community resources at the RPA Hugh Hartman campus, 2105 West Antler Avenue in Redmond from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Community Resource Fair will be hosting free dental screenings courtesy of Kemple Clinic, free eye screenings offered by the Lions Club, and free family portraits courtesy of Michelle Cross Photography.
RPA will host a dinner from Tate and Tate Catering from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In addition to these offerings there will also be community experts available to provide information on communicating with your teen, suicide prevention, resume building, and the effects of concussions.
There will also be over 15 different community organizations represented at the resource fair, ready to offer information and support. Some of these include: J Bar J, Grandma’s House, Latino Community Association, Volunteers in Medicine, Hospice, WIC, Cascade Youth and Family Center, Deschutes County School Based Health Centers, Mosaic Medical, Saving Grace, Kids Center, Family Resource Center, Goodwill, Sparrow Clubs, Redmond Fire Station, Rimrock Trails, Deschutes Public Library, and Redmond Area Park and Recreation District.
The event will have on site Spanish speaking translators for anyone who may need language assistance, as well as a kid’s zone craft table where kids can play while parents look around at all the fair has to offer.
