Sixth Annual Dutch Oven Night Cooking Clinic at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe.
Most outdoor enthusiasts who have spent any prolonged period of time out on the river (or camping out of their car for that matter), have used a Dutch Oven before. This thick-walled, cast iron cooking pot has been utilized for centuries throughout the world and gained popularity with early American colonists for its versatility and durability. And, it was the oven carried by Lewis & Clark as they explored the Northwest!
Join us on January 27, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe. We’ll teach you all the tricks you need to be a DO Master!
At the workshop we’ll answer questions like:
How do you arrange the coals?
How do you get them to cook a meal all the way through, without burning the outside, and staying raw in the middle?
We’ll cook up some of our favorite meals on the back deck, and then share our secrets as we sample the meals and desserts inside the shop.
