Prineville Man Arrested in String of Animal Shootings

Prineville, Ore. – A Prineville man is in custody accused of shooting several of animals in rural parts of Crook County. According to Sgt. James Savage, the Crook County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police gathered enough information to obtain a search warrant for the residence of 785 SE Elm Street in Prineville. The residence and vehicle are owned by Ronald A. Livermore, 67.

“Evidence obtain during the search warrant we were able to link Livermore to multiple counts of shooting yearling calves,” Savage stated.

Livermore was also found to be in possession of multiple firearms and homemade silencers. He was booked into Crook County Jail on the below charges, his bail was set at $665,000:

20- Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Silencer
7- Counts of being a Felon Being in Possession of a Firearm
2- Counts of Aggravated Animal Abuse I
2- Counts of Criminal Mischief I

Livermore was also found to be in possession of multiple firearms and homemade silencers. He was lodged at the Crook County Jail on the below charges:

20- Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Silencer
7- Counts of being a Felon Being in Possession of a Firearm
2- Counts of Aggravated Animal Abuse I
2- Counts of Criminal Mischief I

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Oregon State Police and Prineville Police Department in this investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
