Man Charged After Crashing Into Bend Backyard

Bend Police STOCK.4BEND, OR — A Sisters man faces several charges, after he crashed through a fence and into a Bend backyard late Wednesday evening.  Bend PD was called to Knott Rd. near Tall Pine Ave. short after 11:30 p.m., where a car was laying on its passenger side.  Investigators say George Evan Knight, 26, was driving on Knott Rd. when he failed to make a turn, crashing through the wooden fence.  Witnesses told Bend PD Knight was speeding just before the crash.

Knight was taken to St. Charles Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  He faces charged of DUII, Reckless Driving and 1st Degree Criminal Mischief.
