Heavy Damage To Vehicles In Redmond Crash

Redmond, Ore. -Last night at 6:11 p.m. deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of S. Canal Blvd. and SW 61st Street, Redmond.

The initial report indicated two vehicles were involved and one driver was reporting minor injuries.

An investigation of the scene determined Linda Lucero was driving her red Toyota Sienna westbound on SW 61st Street at S. Canal Blvd.. Lucero attempted to cross S. Canal Blvd. and pulled out into the path of Francis Erhart who was driving southbound on S. Canal Blvd. in his white Toyota pickup.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage as a result of the collision and were towed from the scene.

Erhart received minor injuries and was transported to St. Charles Medical Center – Redmond by the Redmond Fire Department for evaluation.

Speed and/or alcohol were determined to NOT be contributing factors in this crash.

The roadway was partially blocked and traffic was affected in the area for approximately an hour.
