Sisters, Ore. – Starting today the Deschutes National Forest’s Sisters Ranger District temporarily will close public access near Chush Falls to allow for construction of recreation improvements and road decommissioning.
From October today through the 30th a closure area from Whychus Creek on the west to Snow Creek on the east, Three Sisters Wilderness on the south, to Forest Road 641 on the north and including Forest Service Roads 1514-600, 1514-670, 1514-750, 1514-685, 1514-680 and the Chush Falls Trail #4080 will be temporarily closed.
The closure area is needed for public safety while heavy equipment is operating and trees are felled in the project area.
