(NEW YORK) — Fantastic Four star Michael B. Jordan has quickly become one of Hollywood’s hottest actors, but he doesn’t have a special lady in his life…on purpose.
“I try and be focused. I told myself at a young age that I would sacrifice all my twenties to my work. I’m 28. I’ve got a year and a half left,” Jordan explained in the October issue of GQ.
The actor said although he enjoys dating, he realizes that he’s not ready for a full-blown relationship right now.
“I understand what females want and need, you know. I’m good at that. I don’t know if I’m the guy to give it to them right now,” Jordan said. “I’m emotionally unavailable. Until I find something that’s so undeniable that I can’t help myself.”
“The females, they’ll always be there,” he continued. “Like honestly, bro, oh my God. Female-wise now? I ain’t got to do too much work. And it’s weird, because I’m the same guy. I haven’t f****** changed, right? I haven’t done anything different…Okay maybe a blockbuster film.”
One woman he has been linked to is reality star Kendall Jenner after the two were spotted leaving a Met Gala after party together back in May. Jordan said he was frustrated when he received so much backlash regarding the interracial pairing.
“It’s the world we live in. They see white and black. I don’t,” he shared. “Kendall’s a friend of mine, you know. I don’t know her, like, that well, but I know her enough. People’s perspective on that is what it is. I don’t f****** know. I don’t live my life to make other people happy. It’s so weird, though, right? A lot of black fans were feeling like ‘Oh, my God, he should have been with a black woman’ and that whole thing.”
After Fantastic Four flopped at the box office, Jordan is set to star in boxing film, Creed, out November 25.
