A Missing Person Case In NE Oregon From June Is Solved

La Grande, Ore.- Authorities say remains found in a wrecked truck appear to belong to a missing woman who was last seen on June 18th.

On September 9th The La Grande Police Department asked Oregon State Police to assist with an ongoing missing person’s case in Union County.

The missing person, 27 year old Neli C Rogers of La Grande, was last seen on June 18th in Union County driving a 1997 Ford Pickup.

According to La Grande Police Chief Brian Harvey, La Grande Police Detectives located the Ford pickup at the bottom of a steep ravine on September 9th around 3PM.

The ravine is just off highway 82 about miles east of Elgin. The pickup was totaled and had caught fire.

OSP conducted the crash investigation and scene reconstruction. Forensic examination and testing is scheduled to be conducted in efforts to identify the remains.
