Fire crews are doing everything possible with the resources at hand to fight the fires. Firefighter safety, public safety and private property safeguarding is our number one priority.

A Type 1 team has been ordered and is anticipated to arrive and take over management of the fire tomorrow. Firefighting resources are depleted at a national level in the west.

Local law enforcement has issued a Level 3 evacuation for the following areas until further notice:
Adams Drive
Dog Creek
Marysville
Pine Creek

Highway 395 south is expected to remain closed for potential three more days at least due to active fire, hazard trees, and heavy fire fighter traffic.
A Red Cross shelter has been set up at the Mount Vernon Community Hall. Multiple churches are also providing assistance. Multiply landowners are offering space for livestock, as well as the Grant County Fair Grounds.
