Warm Springs Man Arrested After Stealing Knife

On March 25, 2025, officers from the Madras Police Department responded to reports of an armed subject near Highway 97 in Madras. The call was received at 1:40 p.m., and officers quickly arrived on scene. The individual, identified as a 30-year-old male, was reported to have first entered Bi-Mart, where he stole a knife. He then proceeded to threaten a Domino’s store employee with the weapon before fleeing the scene on foot in an attempt to evade custody.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and initiated a brief pursuit. The individual was successfully apprehended at 1:49 p.m. without further incident and transported to the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Department for booking. No injuries to officers, civilians, or the suspect were reported.

The suspect will be charged with disorderly conduct, robbery, theft, unlawful use of a weapon, and menacing. The investigation remains ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available. Authorities confirm that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
