Deschutes Co. Elected Officials To Be Sworn In Jan. 6

Two recently elected Deschutes County officials will be formally sworn into office at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6.

County Commissioner Phil Chang, who was re-elected for a second term, and newly elected Sheriff Kent van der Kamp are scheduled take their oaths of office in Courtroom C of the Deschutes County Circuit Courthouse, located at 1100 NW Bond St. in Bend. The public ceremony will be administered by the Honorable Wells Ashby, Presiding Judge for the Deschutes County Circuit Court.

Members of the community are invited to attend, but attendees will be required to pass through a security checkpoint to enter the courthouse.
