Bend, Ore. – Several construction and remodeling projects are underway on the COCC Bend Campus.

The Residence Hall project will provide housing for approximately 330 students. Hallway doors have been hung, carpet installed and siding completed. The building is on schedule to open this summer.

Ochoco Building, which was built in 1964, will be remodeled to house both the humanities and the world languages and cultures departments. After the air handler equipment is installed later this month, the project will be completed.

The Campus Center will be remodeled for the additional food service and seating capacity required in anticipation of the completion of the new Residence Hall in the fall of 2015.

The remodel will include adding serving stations, dry and cold food storage, seating and catering storage. Permits will be submitted to the city soon, and the bids will be due June 4. The remodel will be done during the summer quarter.

The construction contract for the Redmond Campus Solar Array Project has received three bids, and construction is set to begin in early May.
