City Club Explores Local Foster Care

cityclub_new_2016

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the community is invited to delve deeper into the realities of foster care in the region. Hosted by the City Club of Central Oregon and moderated by Heather Dion, Executive Director at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Central Oregon, the event promises to shed light on critical aspects often overlooked by the headlines.

Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable children in Oregon and Central Oregon specifically, as well as actionable steps individuals and communities can take to contribute to positive outcomes. Whether you have children or rarely interact with them, there is a role for all of us to play in supporting the well-being of our community’s youth.

The event will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon, and registration is required. Interested individuals can register online at https://cityclubco.org/.

Don’t miss this opportunity to go beyond the headlines and gain a deeper understanding of child welfare in Central Oregon.
