Beginning September 18th, a section of Forest Service Road (FSR) 4225-050 on the Ochoco National Forest will be closed for reconstruction.

FSR 4225-050 will be closed at North Fork Crooked River crossing (at the very north end of Williams Prairie) for the installation of 3 twenty-four-inch floodplain relief culverts. Reconstruction of FSR 42225-050 is expected to take up to three days and is being completed as part of the Williams Prairie Restoration Project and culvert installation will increase drainage capacity for the prairie. There is currently no detour in place for this closure but the public can access the area using Forest Service Road 4230.

Visitors should expect large equipment operating in the area. For more information on the Williams Prairie Project, visit: Ochoco National Forest & Crooked River National Grassland – Home (usda.gov)
