Milk Truck Crash Near Madras

Madras, Ore. – Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from The Dalles are investigating an early morning milk truck tanker roll-over crash on Highway 197 near milepost 73 North of Madras.

Early information from investigators indicates the driver, 61 year old BRENT G. BRAUN, of Selah WA, may have experienced some kind of medical event and left the roadway – rolling the vehicle over onto the highway blocking it.

Hazardous materials crews from Prineville responded to assist with the spill and were able to contain any further leaks. The highway is being reopened at this time. BRAUN was transported by ground ambulance to a Madras area hospital.
