Body Found In Powell Butte

Powell Butte, Ore. – A Powell Butte rancher found a body in his field yesterday afternoon and authorities have initially identified the remains as those of Shauna Fowler.

The Crook County Sheriff’s office says the 27-year-old woman vanished nearly three weeks ago from the rural community.

She left behind all of her belongings and local crews did an extensive ground and air search for about 2 weeks.

The rancher called the sheriff’s office around 3 p.m. yesterday saying he found a deceased person in his field and the sheriff’s office was assisted on the scene by the Crook County District Attorney’s office and the Oregon State Police Crime Lab.
