City Club Hosts Forum On Houselessness

cityclub_new_2016

In response to the community’s growing concerns to the homeless crisis, the The City Club of Central Oregon is hosting a forum focused on how the region is addressing the issue, Bending the Curve: Pathways Out of Houselessness on May 18th at the Riverhouse.

Across Central Oregon a robust system of services are in place to meet the needs of those experiencing houselessness. Yet there are gaps in this system, and many fall through these cracks. The forum will feature presentations and extended Q & A with Cheyenne Purrington, Deschutes County Houseless Response Director and Eliza Wilson Director of Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs at J Bar J and Chair of the Homeless Leadership Coalition. They will discuss how an optimized, integrated system of care changed the trajectory of one family in need, and the critical junctions where community support will make a difference into the future. Forum Details:

Bending the Curve: Pathways Out of Houselessness, May 18th from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes Convention Center
