The Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC), parent organization to BottleDrop, announced a total of $10,000 in grant donations to help provide food assistance to those in need across Oregon during the holidays. The donations, generated through BottleDrop’s Containers for Change program, were awarded to eight organizations with donation amounts ranging between $1,000 – $2,500.
“There are heroes across our state helping people avoid hunger every day,” said Eric Chambers, OBRC’s external relations director. “We’re excited to support these organizations as they help their neighbors during the holiday season.”
BottleDrop’s Containers for Change program provides Oregonians with an easy way to donate their OR 10-cent container refunds to nonprofits operating in communities around the state. BottleDrop customers can participate by simply leaving their bag tag stickers off their Green Bags and dropping them off at any BottleDrop facility.

This generous contribution will help us increase the service we provide to the less fortunate in our community,” said Cathy Putnam, Board Member for Eastern Oregon Mission – Agape House. “BottleDrop’s programs like Containers for Change and BottleDrop Give help us continue our mission while also helping the environment. We feel it’s a win for all!”
