The likes of Dune, Spider-Man: No Way Home and more have enticed millions with the promise of unforgettable spectacle. However, it’s not all high-concept superhero cinema and fantasy we have to look forward to.
Fans of a good romantic drama are no doubt counting down the days until the latest installment of the After film franchise.
The first installment – After – premiered back in 2019 and was followed with After We Collided, directed by Roger Kumble. Since then, many have been keen to reunite with Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Joesphine Langford’s Tessa and Hardin.
So, let’s consider where to watch After We Fell when the release date rolls around…
WHERE TO WATCH AFTER WE FELL: WILL IT BE IN CINEMAS OR STREAMING?
After We Collided is scheduled to be released in US theaters on Thursday, September 30th 2021.
As of yet, no US streaming information has been confirmed, so cinemas are the place to be if you’re eager to see it upon initial release. Be sure to check on the website of your local multiplex for screenings closer to the time.
In the UK, on the other hand, no release date has been clarified. However, unlike in the US, it will be going straight to Amazon Prime Video. It’s likely that a date will be confirmed soon now that the film has begun premiering.
Back in April, the official After We Fell Twitter page added a poster with a list of premiere dates; the first on the list is Italy on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021.
Although, it’s worth mentioning that they added: “Due to COVID guidelines some dates may change. For those countries that are listed as TBA, our local partners are still planning, we know it’s hard, but please be patient!”
With this in mind, some of the dates may have been altered since.

AFTER THE CLIFFHANGER…
As you may already be aware, the After films are based on Anna Todd’s novel series of the same name.
In this latest entry, we will continue right where we left off, with Tessa getting to know her estranged father. It’s sure to be a dramatic chapter in the story, with the source material’s summary reading:
“Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.”
That’s how the summary begins, but rather than delving deeper, we’ll aim to avoid any potential spoilers. If you are interested in reading the remainder of the summary you can do so here.

As you’d expect, the two leads are reprising their roles and a number of actors from the previous films will return.
However, Cosmopolitan highlights that there were actually some changes to the cast in response to COVID-19. With the pandemic plaguing production, the filming location was changed from the US to Bulgaria and this facilitated some casting issues.
Will After We Fell be on Netflix?
Tackling the issue, a number of characters were recast.
For example, Chance Perdomo has replaced Shane Paul McGhie as Landon and Stephen Moyer has taken over from Charlie Weber in the part of Christian Vance. Additionally, Selma Blair’s Carol is now portrayed by Mira Sorvino.
The good news is that After We Fell will be available to stream online, but the bad news is that it won’t be available in every country.
