Silverton, Ore. – A driver was cited Saturday following an investigation into a minor injury two vehicle crash on Highway 214 north of Silverton.
According to Trooper Michael Lopez, on February 14, 2015 at approximately 1:11 p.m., a red Honda Civic was traveling southbound when it was struck from the side by a silver Nissan Pathfinder entering traffic from Hobart road. The silver Pathfinder was traveling westbound on Hobart road when it came to the stop at highway 214. The driver of the Pathfinder states that he came to a complete stop, looked both ways and proceeded to enter traffic when he struck the red Honda Civic as it passed through the intersection.
Both occupants received minor injuries. Subsequent to the investigation, driver of the silver pathfinder was cited by OSP for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
The highway was partially blocked over one and a half hours with one lane of travel available for traffic.

Oregon State Police (OSP), ODOT and local emergency responders are on scene of a injury crash involving two vehicles on Highway 214 at milepost 49 north of Silverton. The crash temporarily blocked the southbound lane and the northbound lane is reported open at this time.
