More Arrests Made In Klamath Falls Police Involved Shooting

Klamath Falls, Ore. –  Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a police involved shooting at a Klamath Falls store last night.

On Sunday, Officers from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office, Klamath Falls Police Department, and the Oregon State Police pursued a Robbery suspect who fled with cash stolen from Frontier Market, located at the corner of Shasta Way and Summers Lane in Klamath Falls.

Officers pursued 37 year old  suspect Lenny Miles and gunfire was exchanged.  Miles was pronounced deceased at Sky Lakes Medical Center on Sunday at 9:41 p.m. No officers were injured from the gunfire.

Two additional suspects have been arrested and lodged in the Klamath County Jail in relation to the Frontier Market Robbery.  27 year old Garrett Michael Petersen  and 26 year old Samantha Darlene Robertson on charges of Robbery I and Criminal Conspiracy II. The suspects will appear in Klamath County Circuit Court at 1:30pm on Monday, November 17, 2014.

Because officers from all three Klamath County Major Crime Team law enforcement agencies were involved in the shooting, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has agreed to lead the investigation.

The Klamath County Major Crime Team is comprised of the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office, Klamath Falls Police Department, Oregon State Police, Klamath County Community Corrections, and Klamath County District Attorney’s Office.
