Now hiring for many positions from bus driver to educational assistant to graphic designer
Bend-La Pine Schools’ Support Staff Job Fair is set 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Bend Senior High School.
“Our schools are currently hiring for a wide range of classified staff positions that offer competitive wages, excellent benefits and a variety of working hours,” said Debbie Watkins, Human Resources Director. “Candidates can explore the wide range of career opportunities during an interactive job fair, including opportunities to connect with nutrition services, maintenance and transportation managers.”
Watkins said that attendees will be able to get behind the wheel of a school bus on a closed course, check out a production kitchen and try their hand at running maintenance equipment during this interactive afternoon event.

- Regular Bus Driver* – starting at $16.76
- Substitute Bus Driver – starting at $16.76
- Substitute Bus Monitor – starting at $12.75
- Regular Custodian* – starting at $16.73
- Substitute Custodian – starting at $14.33
- Nutrition Services Server – starting at $12.07
- Substitute Nutrition Services Server – starting at $11.50
- Summer Mow Crew – starting at $13.04 (position opens late February)
- Outside Services* – starting at $16.37
- Inclusion Educational Assistant* – starting at $16.76
- Student Instruction Educational Assistant* – starting at $15.18
- Printing Specialist/Graphic Designer*

Bend-La Pine Schools’ Human Resources staff members will be on hand at the event to answer questions about benefits and employment and to help interested individuals begin the application process via onsite computers. Some available positions include the opportunity to have summers and other school breaks off; other positions include generous time-off packages.
