Sunday Morning Structure Fire in Crooked River Ranch

Circumstances found on arrival, actions taken: First arriving fire crews found heavy fire coming from the mobile home at the above address. They began attacking the fire from the exterior of the structure while another crew searched the structure for any occupants. After completing the search crews finished extinguishing the fire and began extensive overhaul operations. Pacific Power was called in to verify power was disconnected to the house.

Injuries, rescues and other information of interest: The mobile home was found to be unoccupied. It was later confirmed the owner was not home at the time of the fire. Crews remained on-scene until early Sunday morning mopping up hot spots.

Responding Apparatus:  3 – Engines, 3 – Tenders, 0 – Trucks, 1 – Medics, 1 – Support

Responding Personnel:  4 – Career, 10 – Volunteers

Mutual aid assistance by: Redmond Fire & Rescue, Cloverdale Fire District, and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Estimated loss of building and contents: The building is a total loss estimated at $17,000. Contents are also a total loss valued at around $30,000.

Probable fire cause: The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time however indicators found during investigation point to a possible electrical cause.
