Selco Plans New Branch Office

Bend, Ore. – Selco Community Credit Union will demolish a SW Century Drive building to make way for a new branch office designed around consumers’ modern banking habits, the credit union announced Thursday.

Selco, based in Eugene, owns 137 SW Century Drive, which was most recently occupied by Inner Rage CrossFit. The demolition is scheduled for May, and the new branch is expected to open in the fourth quarter, according to a press release from Selco.

Based in Eugene, Selco has four branch offices in Central Oregon, including two in Bend. The credit union has 125,000 members in Oregon and is the third-largest credit union in the state. Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the 26 counties where Selco operates. Selco was founded 80 years ago as the School Employees of Lane County Credit Union.

The credit union said it will not employ traditional tellers in its Century Drive branch. Instead, Selco will use concierge-style service.
