(PORT SAID, Egypt) — The aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman collided with a large merchant vessel Wednesday night in the vicinity of Port Said, Egypt, in the Mediterranean Sea. There are no reported injuries, nor is there flooding aboard the carrier.
The Navy said in a statement that the ship’s nuclear propulsion plants are unaffected and are said to be in “a safe and stable condition.”
