Two Redmond fugitives were caught by police after trying to escape a Terrebonne grocery store parking lot. According to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, both subjects had felony warrants for their arrest and had been involved in multiple dangerous vehicle pursuits over recent weeks causing significant risk to the motoring public.

A request was made to DCSO SWAT team members to coordinate an arrest along with patrol assets. DCSO Patrol deputies received information from a concerned citizen about the potential location of both suspects.

Tuesday At 9:00 am, deputies surrounded the suspect vehicle attempting to flee the area of 8431 11th St.  The driver of the vehicle began ramming un-marked police vehicles in an attempt to escape. The un-marked vehicles displaying emergency lights, were able to briefly immobilize the vehicle, during which time the two suspects switched seats.

The suspect continued to ram and push police vehicles causing significant vehicle damage and creating an extremely dangerous and potentially lethal encounter. Additional DCSO patrol vehicles arrived on scene and assisted in immobilizing the suspect vehicle. Both were taken into custody and arrested on their outstanding warrants in addition to several other charges.
