CODE Seizes Fentanyl Powder On Traffic Stop

A 35-year-old Bend man was jailed for allegedly transporting fentanyl powder from the Portland area for distribution in Central Oregon.

On September 17th, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team, in collaboration with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, concluded a drug investigation with the traffic stop and arrest.

Deschutes County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Honda Civic on Hwy. 97 near Terrebonne. There were two occupants in the vehicle. CODE Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for the vehicle.

CODE Detectives located a quantity of fentanyl powder, drug paraphernalia, and items associated with the distribution of illegal narcotics.  The suspect was a passenger in the vehicle, the drugs were located under his front passenger’s seat.

CODE Detectives were assisted by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office during this investigation.
