Deschutes Fair Offers Emergency Text Messages

social_media_graphic_dcfair

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and Deschutes County Fair and Expo will again be offering emergency messaging to Deschutes County Fairgoers. Attendees can text DCFAIR to 888-777 to be anonymously subscribed to emergency alerts. If you subscribed to this system in past years you need to sign up again because each year’s group of subscribers is deleted at the end of Fair.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office will utilize the messaging tool to provide information to fairgoers of situations such as missing children, traffic issues, severe weather, or emergencies.

If you wish to stop getting alerts, you can text STOP to the same number. The DCFAIR key word subscription will automatically expire at the end of Fair on August 5 and all subscribers will be deleted.
