Oregon State University – Cascades will host a networking event on Aug. 21 to help connect local businesses and community members with professionals of color.

The Bend event will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Charles McGrath Family Atrium in Edward J. Ray Hall and include a reception. It is free and registration is required.

Say Hey! events are organized by Partners in Diversity and are the largest multicultural networking events in Oregon and southwest Washington. This will be the first event to take place in Central Oregon.

The goal of the event is to welcome professionals of color and foster connections with employers, allies and community members.

Professionals of color who are new to Central Oregon are invited to register as honorees by Aug. 9 and will be introduced at the event.

Partners in Diversity is a nonprofit organization that works to address employers’ needs for achieving and empowering a workforce that reflects the changing demographics of the Pacific Northwest through educational programs, job postings and access to multicultural networking events.

Central Oregon members of Partners in Diversity include the City of Bend and Washington Trust Bank, as well as OSU.

This Say Hey! event is coordinated with the OSU Office of Human Resources and sponsored by OnPoint Community Credit Union. Welcome gift bags for honorees will be provided by TIAA.
