Two Sought In Attempted Prineville ATM Theft

Prineville Police are looking for two males who attempted to remove an ATM machine with a stolen vehicle. According to Prineville PD: The incident happened Monday at 4:00 a.m. at the Washington Federal Bank, located at 1570 NE 3rd Street in Prineville

When officers arrived, they located an abandoned pickup truck, attached with a tow rope to a damaged ATM in the drivethru of the bank. Officers, assisted by drones and a Redmond K9, searched for suspects in the area but were ultimately unsuccessful in locating anyone. According to video surveillance, two males had attempted to forcefully remove the ATM (unsuccessfully), then fled on foot. It was determined the involved pickup truck was stolen approximately an hour earlier, from Redmond, OR. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are following up on leads at this time
