The Oregon Department of Transportation is currently constructing improvements along U.S. 20 (Central Oregon Highway) between milepost 171 near Warm Springs Road and milepost 223 near Harper Junction (west of Vale). The work includes paving and chip sealing sections of the highway, bridge repair work and guardrail upgrades.
Travelers should expect reduced travel speeds, loose rock on the roadway, single lane travel controlled by pilot cars and multiple work zones.
Some motorists are traveling too fast for conditions, causing rocks to fly up onto other vehicles. Please slow down, patiently wait for pilot cars, obey posted work zone signs and plan for extra travel time. Summer means it is another busy road construction season, so check TripCheck.com for current conditions and locations of traffic impacts on all Oregon highways. More Info Here
