Camp Fire Central Oregon Hosts Fall Fest

camp-fire-kids-program

Camp Fire Central Oregon will be hosting its first annual Fall Festival on Saturday, November 6th, from 2-5pm at Troy Field in Downtown Bend. The event is free, open to the public, and will offer a variety of family fun activities, including games and raffle prizes.

The event is designed, organized, and put on with the help of teens from Camp Fire’s Student Advisory Committee and Teens In Action club. The involvement of young people in the planning process is in keeping with the organization’s mission to help youth find their sparks, give back to their communities, and grow their potential. Plus, what better way to throw an event for kids and families than by allowing kids themselves to plan it!?

When asked why they care about putting on the Fall Festival, one Student Advisory Committee member replied, “We love Camp Fire and we want others to enjoy it too!”

So grab your friends, families, neighbors (and even pets!), and check out Camp Fire’s Fall Festival!

Camp Fire Central Oregon is grateful for the support of Youth Service America and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation for helping to make this event possible.
