Fatal Shooting in Downtown Bend

A Bend man was arrested after a fatal shooting in downtown Bend early Sunday morning. Bend Police were dispatched at 12:11 a.m. to the intersection of NW Oregon Ave. and NW Wall Street for a reported fight and shooting. They found a 25-year-old Bend man on the sidewalk with a single gunshot wound. He was transported to St. Charles by ambulance and later died from his injuries.

Ian M. Cranston, 27, was detained as a suspect on scene and charged with Manslaughter II.

Bend Police are asking community members to contact them if they have video, photos, or witnessed the fatal shooting. The Bend Police Dept. non-emergency dispatch line is 541-693-6911.
