New Fire Southeast of La Pine

Deschutes County is alerting residents southeast of La Pine of a rapidly growing wildfire. Level 3 evacuations are in place near the fire.  Updated map info is linked here.

Entry to evacuated areas will be denied until the hazard subsides. Initial attack resources responded earlier this afternoon. Air tankers are in use and Deschutes County is managing evacuations.
