A California man was arrested after police say he kidnapped and sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Last Sunday afternoon, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence in Terrebonne for a report of a 19 year old female who had been taken from her home to California for several days.

local authorities investigated the case and found that Jeffrey D Waller, 27, from Vallejo, California and the victim were former boyfriend/girlfriend. Waller and the victim had been separated for several months, but remained acquaintances.

“Waller suspected the victim was dating someone new and drove to the victim’s residence in the early morning hours June 15th,” according to a news release from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office. “Waller convinced the victim to get in his vehicle by threatening harm to her family members. After Waller drove off with the victim, she quickly noticed Waller had disabled the inside door handle preventing her from getting out of the car.”

“Waller assaulted the victim before driving her to his residence in California,” the release stated. “The victim was able to convince Waller over the next few days to drive her back to Oregon.”

Waller brought the victim back to her home Sunday morning and a local SWAT team located him at a Redmond motel. He was contacted and taken into custody without incident..
