The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet Friday to consider tuition rates, mandatory fees and student incidental fees for the 2021-22 academic year. The board will also discuss the timeline and a proposed process for the appointment of an interim president, discuss a scope of work for a review of due diligence efforts conducted during the 2019 presidential search and hear an update on the 2021 Oregon legislative session. In addition, the board will consider updates to the current list of major university research centers.
This meeting is open to the public. Given COVID-19 guidance from the Governor’s Office, as well as university and county health officials, the meeting will be hosted through a remote conferencing service. Options for joining the meeting and instructions for providing comment during the board meeting’s general comment period and in a testimony period held before the board votes on each action item are located under “Meeting Details” at this webpage.
The board will hold an executive session as part of its agenda, pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(e) to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions and ORS 192.660(2)(f) to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection (ORS 192.345(6), attorney-client privilege, ORS 40.225; and ORS 192.355(9)(a)).
Board committees will meet via remote conferencing services on Thursday, April 1. These meetings are open to the public:
- The Executive and Audit Committee will meet from 8 to 10:30 a.m. to consider an Office of Audit, Risk and Compliance progress report. The committee will discuss enterprise risk management and the university’s information technology ecosystem and security. The committee also will hear an update on public safety and the implementation of a Corvallis campus Community Wellness, Education and Safety Network.
- The Finance and Administration Committee will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to consider tuition rates, mandatory fees and student incidental fees for the 2021-22 academic year. The committee also will consider the university’s quarterly financial reports, annual internal bank report and advancement of the Owen Hall capital project.
- The Academic Strategies Committee will meet from 1:30 to 4 p.m. to hear briefings on undergraduate and graduate educational programs and enrollment and financial aid and consider changes to the current list of major university research centers.
