Rain, Thunderstorms & Hail Hit Central Oregon Tuesday, More to come

us97-at-rocking-horse-nb_pid4333
Today through Thursday...An upper low pressure system
will continue to influence the weather over the PacNW during the
short term period. Over the past couple of days this upper low has
bright a warm south to southwest flow over the forecast area with
moderately high CAPE values, negative LI`s and diffluence aloft for
isolated to scattered thunderstorms...mainly from central to
northeast Oregon. This will still be the case today and Wednesday,
but the coverage and intensity of thunderstorms will decrease due to
cooling temperatures, cloud cover and the lack of forcing to help
kick off thunderstorm development. One thing that will remain
unchanged is the fact there will be a fairly solid coverage of
showers over the forecast area...especially during the afternoons
and evenings.
