With heavy snow being reported across Bend on this Friday afternoon (3.1.19), it is creating many problems on the roadways, as you head home from work or school.

As Bend-La Pine middle and high school students were let out of school early this afternoon, in anticipation of more possible moisture, the snow started falling AGAIN.

Roads are extremely icy again, plus very bumpy. Listeners tell KQAK and MyCentralOregon.com, that Reed Market Road, near 3rd Street was a parking lot, as of 3:15p.m. Highway 97, at Empire has bumper-to-bumper traffic.

O-DOT is also reportings slow downs and heavy traffic on Highway 97, in Bend, on Cooley Road. The forecasting is now calling for more light snow, heavy at times, through tonight all across the High Desert.

Sunshine is expected to return this weekend, however. Redmond, as of 4p.m. was still sunny.

Do give yourself extra time and use caution!
