Redmond leaders want a more vibrant downtown.

They’re proposing demolishing the old City Hall and replacing it with an apartment building.

KTVZ reports plans are also now in place for a food truck lot with a pavilion-style tap house and kid’s play area.

It will be connected to the Homestead Canal Trail and is expected to be up and running by next spring.

Construction on the apartment building probably won’t start until next summer at the earliest.
