(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) — An F-16 Thunderbird which had been performing at the Air Force Academy graduation crashed near Petersen Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, but the pilot managed to eject safely, the Air Force said.
The incident comes on the heels of a flyover by the elite demonstration team at the nearby Air Force Academy graduation, where President Obama was in attendance.
