Deschutes County, Ore. – The Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District on the Deschutes National Forest is delaying the opening of Paulina Lake campground and Day Use areas due to an abundance of blow-down and hazard trees that need to be removed.

Both the Paulina Day Use area and the Paulina Boat Launch are included in the delayed opening.

Officials said Campground reservations are suspended through June 24.

Crews are working to remove the material quickly and the areas will be opened as soon as possible.
