Indeed, his event attracted just one person: Kenneth.

“I give you a lot of credit for coming out here,” Kenneth told the former Maryland governor, according to WOI-TV producer Sarah Beckman, who showed up at the event for the Ames, Iowa, ABC News affiliate but didn’t report Kenneth’s last name. “I’m glad you took the time.”

O’Malley took it all in stride in an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

“The very last event of the night, we actually had a whopping total of one person show up,” O’Malley said Tuesday.”But, by God, he was glad to see me. So we spent the time with him.”

Despite the circumstances, O’Malley apparently was unable to win Kenneth over, at least not yet.

“I’m working on him,” O’Malley said. “He claims he’s still uncommitted.”

O’Malley continued: “But I was glad he took the time to come out in the snow to see me. We almost canceled that last event but we were out there anyways, so we plowed through.”
