Bend, Ore. -An earthquake drill at a Bend high school – turned into a real situation. Students were doing an earthquake and fire drill yesterday afternoon at Mountain View High School.

But then it turned into a real, though brief lockout as there was a report of an armed person in a neighborhood north of the campus.

The issue was resolved and the lockout ended in three to five minutes.

Under a lockout, the exterior doors are locked and no one can come in or out, but classes continue as normal.
