Inmate Died Unexpectedly At Coffee Creek Correctional Facility

Wilsonville, Ore. – An Oregon Department of Corrections inmate died unexpectedly today at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville.

As with all unanticipated deaths in state prisons, the Oregon State Police Criminal Investigation Unit is conducting an investigation.

Early this morning 46 year old Carlton Ford collapsed in his cell and was unresponsive.

Ford entered the prison on August 26th on one count of weapons use, one count of menacing, and one count of burglary in the first degree out of Multnomah County. His earliest release date was set for March 31, 2019.

Next of kin has been notified. No other details are available at this time.
